SeventyBar
One icon, one click, all your other icons in a pocket.
SeventyBar adds a single icon to your menu bar. One click opens a pocket right below it, with all your other icons tidied up and clickable. macOS's native setting can only do never or always: SeventyBar fills that gap. And it reveals the icons macOS hides on its own without telling you. Free 7-day trial.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference with macOS 26's native setting?
System Settings > Menu Bar offers a per-app toggle, but it's binary: an icon is either always shown or never shown. It can't do "hidden but one click away". That's exactly what SeventyBar's pocket does: your icons disappear from the bar but stay one click away, in a pocket that opens under the SeventyBar icon.
Why does SeventyBar ask for the Accessibility permission?
Only to locate other apps' icons in the menu bar and forward your click to the right one when you pick one from the pocket. No Screen Recording permission is ever requested, nothing is read continuously and nothing is sent over the network.
macOS hides some of my icons on its own, how does SeventyBar find them?
When the menu bar gets too crowded, macOS 26 hides icons without warning, and the system flag that's supposed to say whether an icon is visible gets it wrong. SeventyBar compares what should be there with what's actually reachable and shows the affected icons in the pocket labeled "hidden by macOS", clickable like any other.
Does it work with my MacBook's notch?
Yes. Icons stuck near the notch on recent MacBooks are exactly the kind of icon macOS pushes out of view. SeventyBar's pocket tidies them up and keeps them one click away, notch included.
What's the difference between the website version and the App Store one?
The pocket is exclusive to the direct version (this website): it needs to observe other menu bar apps, which the App Store sandbox forbids. The App Store version offers the classic separator mode. On this website: a free 7-day trial, then a 9.90 CHF one-time license with automatic updates.
